The Justice-Evolved Collaborative is a research network of justice-impacted individuals and allies who educate, consolidate, and showcase the intellectual works of justice-evolved individuals. This collaborative emphasizes research produced by scholars who possess direct, lived experience with the criminal legal system. To that end, we house a comprehensive database of research from justice-evolved individuals that invites academics, policymakers, and practitioners to engage with these uniquely informed perspectives. We simultaneously challenge negative stereotypes and foster community and pride among the justice-impacted.
By elevating these voices in academic and policy arenas, we seek to expand knowledge production and foster dialogues that pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive society. We invite you to explore our research, connect with our scholars, and join us in envisioning new pathways toward justice reform and societal change.
By justice-evolved, we mean justice-impacted* individuals who transcend the shackles on their minds and bodies, experience the power of education, challenge structural inequalities, and as a result, continue to transform the world. By justice-impacted, we refer to individuals who have been affected by the carceral system.
